Sânsimion

The image of the village is dominated by the Roman Catholic church in the centre, the spacious cultural centre, the school building, the village hall and the St. László House. The church, dedicated to King Saint László, was built on land donated by Viceroy Miklós Endes between 1823 and 1835. In the centre of the village, the square of St. László was recently inaugurated, where a bust of St. László, carved in local stone, is a true expression of the timelessness of the village. St. László Square, which exudes the spirit of the knight-king, is also the venue for the most important community events, including cultural events and national commemorations.
