Ciceu (Csíkcsicsó) lies 5 km north of Miercurea Ciuc (Csíkszereda), at the confluence of the Szépvíz stream with the Olt, on the low terrace of the Olt. The village is an important railway junction. On the rocky ridge west of the village are the remains of the stone-walled castle of Csicsó.
